Treble winning is an adorable moment for any club. A club can be a Treble winner only if it conquers all the 3 trophies in one season.

That is the UEFA Champions League, the Domestic League, and the Domestic Cup then you will be crowned a Treble Winner. Normally it's not that easy to win all these trophies in a season. One bad performance in the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League or the Domestic Cup can destroy the dream of winning a Treble.

 MeanWhile, Only seven clubs have done this impossible achievement, whereby only two clubs have won it twice in the history of European Football that is Barcelona(2008-09,2014-15) and Bayern Munich(2012-13,2019-20). 

1. Celtic F.C (1966-67)

Celtic is based in Scotland and is the first-ever club tp win the European Treble in the history of European football. The club won the three major titles in 1966-67 

season after winning their League, defeating Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup, and beating Inter Milan 2-1 in the final all under Coach Jock stein in completing such an impossible moment in football.

    The club surprised everyone at that time by winning five titles in that season and scored a record of 196 goals throughout the season.

2. AFC Ajax(1971-72)

Ajax won the Treble in the 1971-72 season. The club was one of the best club in Europe at that time. They won the European Cup in three consecutive seasons from 1970 to 1972 but won Treble only in the middle year.

      However, current Ajax is not same as old Ajax. The club won the Treble on the golden time of Johan Cruyff,Johan Neeskens and Piet Keizer. The dutch cluble beat Inter Milan with 2 

pair goals from Cruyff in winning the Treble.

3. PSV Eindehoven (1987-88) 

Another Dutch club PSV Eindhoven got a chance to win the Treble after Ajax. PSV Eindhoven won the treble 16 years later the treble victory of their eternal rivals Ajax. 

Under Legendary coach Guus Hiddink and with the help of iconic player Ronald Koeman, Edward Linskens Dutch club PSV Eindhoven got all three titles in that season.

        PSV won the European Cup for the first time by defeating Benfica 6-5 in tiebreaker. As well as that is the only European Cup win for PSV Eindhoven.

4.Manchester United (1998-99)

Manchester United F.C. is the only English club, which won the Premier League, F.A. Cup and Champions League in one season.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s players won the Premier League title by one point on the final day in a fierce battle with Arsenal throughout the season.

     On the other hand, In the F.A. Cup, they defeat big clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal and face Newcastle United in the final. 

The Red Devils also won the F.A. Cup with an easy 2-0 win.

Manchester United gives a legendary performance in that Champions League. Till 40 minutes, They were 3-1 behind in the second leg semi-final against Juventus.

 After winning the match 4-3, they kept their real surprise for the final.

 Bayern Munich was 1-0 ahead in that match, But red devils won the match with 91st and 93rd minutes goal. And they confirmed their treble title.

5.FC Barcelona (2008-09)(2014-15)

 Barca Won for the first time under Pep Guardiola. Messi, Xavi and Iniesta tremendous performance brought this grand success to the club in 2008-09 season.

 Many consider Barcelona to be the best club team of all time.Six years later, the Catalans won the Treble again. This time, With the help of Messi, Neymar and Suarez trio, Barcelona won all three major titles.

 They won La Liga by two points and beat Athletic Bilbao with 3-1 goal in the Copa del Rey final. On the other hand, they won Champions League final match against Juventus with 3-1 goal. 

And that is the second time Barcelona won the Treble.

6. Inter Milan (2009-10)

The world saw a new treble-winning club after Barcelona’s first treble win. This time Italian club Inter Milan won this honor. Under Jose Mourinho, Nerazzurri won Scudetto with two points higher than A.S. Roma.

 Inter Milan defeat the same opponent with 1-0 in Coppa Italia.To win the Champions League, Inter Milan had to face the best club of that time Barcelona in the semi-final. 

But with Mourinho’s tactics, Inter Milan went to the final by winning that match 3-2. Diego Milito’s pair of goals help Inter Milan to beat Bayern Munich and win the Treble.

7. Bayern Munich (2012-13)(2019-20)

In previous season, the Bavarians lost to Chelsea in a tiebreaker in front of their fan at the Allianz Arena. But Bayern Munich came back the next season with great strength and won the Treble.

In the Bundesliga, Jupp Heynckes’ side champion by beat every opponent and score 25 points higher than Dortmund. In the DFB-Pokal final Robben, Ribery team beat VfL Wolfsburg by 3-2 goal.

In the semi-final of the Champions League, Bayern Munich beat Barcelona with total 7-0 goals in first and second leg . Then Bayern face another German club Dortmund in the final.

 With Arjen Robben’s last-minute goal they also won the final by 2-1. Which made Bayern Munich seventh Treble winning club and the last Treble winning club so far.

After 7 years the Bavarians did it again under Coach Hansi Flick . Bayern Munich won the treble for a second time and ended the season undefeated in 30 consecutive matches in all competitions with 29 wins and 1 draw.
